Bowness boasts great transport links and we readily accessible by train and bus, for an entirely car-free adventure. Alternatively we offer onsite parking- and we encourage you to leave the stress of driving behind during your stay with us.

Bowness on Windermere – The place to start your perfect day out!

Bowness Bay is ideally situated in the South Lakes. Explore the village on foot for an array of high quality shops ( Love the Lakes, Herdy and Co., the Bath House) There’s enjoyment for the whole family at World of Beatrix Potter. Just a ferry-ride across the Lake to visit Beatrix Potter’s home at Sawrey.

The western lakeshore is ideal for gentle cycling to Wray Castle, whilst Grizedale forest offers top class mountain biking trails for the adventurous.
