D Whiting, Burton on Trent

Extremely friendly, welcoming and warming service at Burn How Hotel with exceptional quality of food
My husband & I had a weekend away from the kids at Burn How and 1st impressions do not do the Hotel justice. It is an unusual setting as there are chalets in addition to an old house and the reception/restaurant, however the service and the quality of food is excellent. The main dining rooms are of traditonal decor but the bedrooms are more contempoary. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We stayed in room 25 in the external house which had everything we wanted, TV, tea, coffee desk etc & the bathroom was immaculate (although another shelf would have been handy). The only downside was the fitted wardrobes, they were a bit awkard to get clothes in and out of (but I’m just being picky)! The service was excellent and everyone made you feel very welcome. When you eat breakfast you can look out at the gardens which are lovely and full of birds. The food was of an extremely high quality and reasonably priced too and as a vegetarian I had a good choice. Plenty of choice for breakfast too – their scrambled egg is the best I have ever had!
