Come along and enjoy the displays of military vehicles, wartime displays, period fashions, food and dancing at the Brougham Hall Wartime Weekend 12th to 14th May 2023.
Brougham Hall Wartime Weekend is small and friendly event which was founded in 2016 when the late Christopher Terry, the then owner and driving force behind Brougham Hall’s restoration, invited the Military Vehicle Trust to be involved in the first WW2 Wartime Weekend.
It is now held at the invitation of the Brougham Hall Charitable Trust and is organised by a small team of local representatives of the North Lancashire and Cumbria Military Vehicle Trust
The event is held within the walls of the historic hall and showcases authentic allied living history and military vehicle displays, and commemorates the Hall’s WW2 heritage; the Hall was home to the 79th Armoured Division who secretly developed a “Hobart’s Funny” tank modification known as Canal Defence Light (CDL) or “Monty’s moonlight”.
Please note: Due to the Coronation of King Charles III, the event will take place a week later than usual on May 12th-14th.
Visitors do not need to book and entrance is free but a suggested donation of £10 per family/£5 per adult is kindly requested to enable the continuation of Brougham Hall and similar events.
