THE MOST SCENIC UK MARATHON

One of a handful of marathons run entirely within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Often described as the friendliest and most beautiful UK marathon, finish this breath-taking course, amidst a carnival atmosphere, in the grounds of Brathay Hall with stunning views over England’s largest lake.

A 26.2 mile anti-clockwise circuit of Windermere, taking in Hawkshead, Newby Bridge, Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside along the way.

Over half the course is run on partially traffic-free roads or roads with a dedicated running lane. .

It has outstanding local support and, to top it all, you get to see the inspirational men and women who will be completing the final marathon of their Brathay 10in10.

Please assemble on the lawn in front of Brathay Hall by 10.10am. Final announcements will be made before runners are led to the start line for the race start.

The event will start at 10.30am.
