Fabulous Short Break

Lovely hotel with peaceful pretty grounds yet 2 minutes walk from Bowness centre and lake.

Rooms are very spacious with private balcony overlooking the gardens.

Yummy breakfast!

We have stayed here before as well as other places in Bowness but would always recommend to stay here!

Burn How Experience

Booked one evening DBB and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Received a friendly welcome, nice room, dinner was first class and a great breakfast. Booked a second evening. Will be back.

Burn How Review

Burn How Hotel’
We recently stayed here for the second time in April for our anniversary and had a garden chalet as before. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast is excellent (especially the poached and scrambled eggs) and the room was lovely. The weather let is down as we could have gone onto the balcony (as the first time we stayed the weather was warm) but you cannot help the weather. All in all a wonderful stay at the Burn How Hote.

We’ll be back to the Burn How

We stayed in the large house behind the main building. A great room (room 24) with en0suite facilities.

This is the first time that we’ve ever been to the lakes. The stay here made it special and very easy. As we were minutes away from the centre, tis was ideal. The room was very clean, spacious and cosu. The reviews on trip advisor sell the place in its own right. The bed appeared to be king size.

The decor is suggested by some previous reviewers to be in need ofmodernisation, but I wouldn’t be put off from that. I am only disappointed that we chose to try the one night instead of 2! The staff were very pleasant and helpful. As most reviews say the breakfast is amazing! Excellent vlaue. We’ll be back

Our visit to Burn How

‘Just love Burn How. This is the second time in 8 months we have visited. Room (number 12 Rose Garden) was great, lovely patio outside, pity about the snow! Car parked right outside, friendly informative staff, cracking breakfasts, short walk into town. Spot on!’

Highly Recommended

Great location, comfortable room, delicious food & great service- have already recommended it to friends & family. Mrs Girling 4th March 2013

Great Location

We only stayed for one night at the Burn How, but wish we had stayed longer. Quiet location while being within walking distance of the town/restaurants. Lovely large bright triple aspect room set apart from the main hotel, in the gardens. The breakfast was delicious, served in the bright conservatory overlooking the garden with all the many birds feeding outside. Friendly staff, and overall a great base for exploring the Lake District Mrs Snowdon 2nd March 2013

‘First class Hotel’

First class Hotel, breakfast was spot on.
Even in winter the garden has plenty to see, especially the bird life.
Looking forward to going again in the spring. Mr Lawton 27th February 2013
