‘Safe and warm’

I travel all over the place for work and the Burn How is one of those places that is more than easy to return to. I had previously visited with a colleague and did consider staying elsewhere but decided the food (delicious), staff (kind and welcoming) and the room (warm and spacious with sliding doors to the garden) were just to good to miss. Breakfast is worth getting out of bed for even in the snow! Absolutely the best breakfast available in the UK. Eggs Florentine and a bowl full of fruit! I was very impressed that I was remembered from eight months ago. Staff are often efficient in hotels but here they are kind too. E Drake reviewed 14th Febraury 2013

Our Stay in the Victorian Lodge at the Burn How

‘We both loved the garden house hotel, the staff were friendly and it was in a great location. We stayed in the large Victorian house and thought it was really different to anything else we\’d stayed in before. Good choice at breakfast and very welcoming. ‘ Mr E Dawson

My Stay at the Burn How

Just had the 1 night at Burn How Garden House Hotel and loved it. As soon as we booked in we were met with a warm welcome and a cup of coffee! Our accommodation was set in the garden and had lovely views of the garden and main house. Breakfast was excellent with strawberries, raspberries and lots of fresh fruit with lots of choices for breakfast starters and mains. A lovely hotel with a relaxing atmosphere, definitely stay again. Our stay at the Burn How

‘We stayed in one of the garden chalet rooms and found it extremely relaxing, each room has its own small balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and comes with its own parking place right outside the door, the rooms are nicely decorated, are en-suit and have TV and complimentary tea and coffee facilities, the breakfast was fantastic with cereals, full english or continental style and bowls of fruit and juices etc, very good , we will be back.’

Burn How Review

“The Burn How Hotel restaurant serves excellent local food, extremely well presented. As well as the normal Al-A-Carte their talented chef prepares two different specials each evening.”  Carolyn Hirst Oldham 7.02.2013

‘Our recent stay was excellent!

‘Our recent stay was excellent! Room was very spacious and clean with a great modern bathroom, shower with lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent with all kinds of cereal, fruit, juice, jams and marmalade with an excellent cooked breakfast choice. Evening meal menu was excellent and was great tasting and presented wonderfully. All staff very polite and helpful and ensured we had everything for our stay. Great value for money and will definitely return.’ Mrs Elloitt-Wright Stayed 1st February 2013

Amazing Breakfast and Wonderful Room

This was a last minute booking arranged with Linda. The room was everything we hoped for and more. We stayed in room 20 of the lodge which has huge sash windowws and a lovely ornamental fireplace. The room was wonderful and warm on arrival. Very welcoming. The bathroom was spotlessly clean the shower fantastic! We really appreciated the little touches and the welcome tray ( we ate all the biscuits)

Breakfast in the morning was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel, the cooked breakfast was hot and deliciousz and there was plenty of choice when it came to the fruit, breakfast cereal, yoghurts etc.

I really can’t thank the staff at Burn How enough for making our stay perfect. We hope to return in the future, Stayed November 2012
