Taste the best in modern cuisine from our single rosette restaurant, featuring the freshest locally sourced produce including Plumgarth's Cumberland sausage, English Lakes ice cream and Thornby Moor Cheeses.

After your meal you can relax in the comfortable lounge and bar area where coffee can be served. Our bar is located next to the restaurant and is available to residents and diners until 11pm.

Open to hotel guests and non-residents, The Burn How Restaurant overlooks the rich and colourful gardens. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal in a delightful setting. Booking is advisable.

  • Place is nice and clean, close to Bowness Bay and village within minutes walk. Allocated car parking in front of each room. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is great with various hot breakfast menu and cold buffet.

  • Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, the hotel is conveniently situated close to Lake Windermere, breakfast and dinner were truly excellent. After many years of traveling around the world this hotel rates as one of our best hotel experiences. We were impressed by the restaurant table tea light holders, nice touch!!
